Basic life support & safe use of an automated external defibrillator (QA level 2 award)
4 hour, maximum 12 delegates per course
This course offers delegates an introduction to the set-up and safe application of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in addition to the principles of basic life support. Delegates will be able to demonstrate the practical administration of basic life support and use an automated external defibrillator safely in an emergency situation.
Who Should Attend
The qualification is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid and/or use an AED when dealing with an emergency situation. No previous first aid experience is required to attend this course.
