5 ways to reduce work-related illness in 2017

As 2017 kicks off, let's look at how we can all reduce work-related illness this year

Around 1.3 million people suffered from a work-related illness between 2015 and 2016.

That's 4.1% of the total UK workforce.

Musculoskeletal disorders accounted for half a million of those cases, with the use of computer keyboards cited as one of the top causes.

A further 500,000 people suffer from work-related stress, depression and anxiety, while 144 people died as a direct result of work.

Overall workplace illness in 2015-16 cost businesses an eye-watering £14.1 billion.
