October kicks off with our 20% off Back Care Awareness Week sale in a bid to raise awareness of back pain and the impact it has on so many people's lives.
An estimated 10% of the world's population suffers from back pain. Back in 1991, our CEO wanted to do something about it. He started by inventing the Posturite writing board to reduce pain caused by repetitive, sedentary office work, but since then we've launched thousands of products.
Product by product, we've tried to transform the way people feel at work by helping them improve postures and get into healthier habits to boost their performance.
This year, to encourage more people to give ergonomic products a go, we're offering 20% off all items* on our site from Monday 2 until Friday 6 October (ends midnight).

With so many products to choose from, we thought you'd like a little help choosing. Here are some of our main product categories with some brief information on how they can help improve back health:
1. Ergonomic chairs
If you spend a lot of time sitting at a desk, one of the more important pieces of advice we can give you is this: invest in an ergonomic chair. Yes, they are slightly more expensive, but thanks to the range of adjustments available (even at the lower end of the market as with the Positiv S600 featured below), you'll be able to find the perfect position for your unique anatomy.
Correct positioning of your arms, neck, legs and back reduces the risk of back pain and makes it a lot more comfortable to work all day. In our eyes, this makes it worth the extra money (not to mention ergonomic chairs are often much more durable and long-lasting).
2. Ergonomic mice and keyboards
To avoid upper limb disorders as well as back pain, it's vital that you select a mouse and keyboard you feel really comfortable with. We always recommend opting for a vertical mouse like our award-winning Penguin Ambidextrous Vertical Mouse if you can, as these encourage your hand into a neutral 'handshake' position, unlike the standard type, which require you to twist your wrist.
When it comes to they keyboard, it's better to have a detachable number pad as a large keyboard will push your mouse arm further away from your body, causing over-reaching which, over time, can lead to severe injury. A handy solution is our Number Slide Compact Keyboard, which has a retractable number pad for data entry tasks.
3. Sit-stand desk and accessories
Our range of sit-stand desks caters for the entire market. On one end we've got platforms like the DeskRite 100 Sit-Stand Platform, which can be placed directly on top of your existing desk. These are cheaper and perfect for small spaces.
DeskRite 500 - was £1,122 NOW £897.60 inc VAT
If you just want to give standing at work a first-time go, then we recommend our Sit-Stand Starter Kit, which comes with a small DeskRite 100 and a compact mouse and keyboard for just £167.94 including VAT.
On the higher end of the market we've got beautiful wood-finish electric sit-stand desks like the DeskRite 500 Electric Sit-Stand Desk, which can be adjusted quietly with the simple press of a button.
4. Monitor arms and device holders
To avoid neck and back pain from drooping your head forward, you want your eyes to be level with the top of your screen. That's the case for desktop computers, laptops and tablets. The solution is to invest in monitor arms and device holders. We stock a range of products, with the CBS Ollin Dynamic Monitor Arm in particular offering the perfect solution for agile workers.
Ollin is unique in that it’s the only monitor arm on the market that can accommodate weights from 0kg to 9kg, which means it can be used for mobiles, tablets and laptops as well as desktop computers.
We also stock laptop packs, which come with a laptop stand, mouse and compact keyboard to transform your laptop into a portable ergonomic workstation.
5. Posture supports
If you don't have the budget to invest in an ergonomic chair with the right in-built support, then you can increase the comfort of your existing chair with some kind of posture support, such as a lumbar cushion or roll. These are also excellent for using on long journeys in the car.
As well as lumbar supports we also stock a huge variety of wrist rests and foot stools such as the five-star rated TriRite. TriRite will support your feet and legs comfortably while you work. The flexibility of position and easy movement encourages blood circulation and provides support to aching, tired legs and feet.
