Get involved in a sit-stand desk study with University of Chester

Our friends at the University of Chester are looking for organisations to help with two studies looking into the use of sit-stand desks in offices.

You can apply to take part in these studies if you already use sit-stand desks, or if you are interested in using them.

There are two studies:

Study One

Focus group study investigating the perceptions of sit-stand desk work among UK-based office workers.

  1. Involves a one hour focus group (group discussion) at your place of work.
  2. Recruiting for sit-stand desk users and seated desk users.

 Study Two

Three month study investigating the vascular (arteries) and metabolic (blood cholesterol and blood glucose) impacts of sit-stand desk work in office workers.

  1. Involves regular physical measurements over the 3 month period to take place at your place of work.
  2. Recruiting sit-stand desk users and seated desk those who are about to begin using a sit-stand desk.

All data will be anonymous.

Contact Lizzy Parker at the University for further information, on  or 01244 513 406.
