Mixed menu of topics at our customer dinners

At Posturite, we like to listen to our customers. What you tell us helps shape much of what we do and the way that we do it.

Over recent times we have developed various channels – our quarterly User Group meetings, our online LinkedIn forum and so on – to help us better understand the challenges, thoughts and wishes of our customers.

Now we are also hosting a series of dinners for some of our key clients and contacts at landmark venues around the country.

The first one was held in mid-October in the magnificent surroundings of The Parsons Room, St John’s College, Cambridge.

Then last month, London’s iconic Gherkin office building was the venue for a lively evening of discussion that ranged across topics as diverse as the effect of new technology on office space and design, mobile/home working, sit-stand desking, office hygiene, the cultural changes involved in hot desking and dealing with an ageing workforce.

Companies and organisations represented at the London dinner included Credit Suisse, Vodafone, BNP Paribas, Schroders, the Amey Group, Standard Chartered Bank, Greenwich University and the British Institute of Facilities Managers.

London & South East Sales Manager Jamie Hall, who hosted the Gherkin event alongside Regional Manager Chris Hollely and WorkRite Senior Consultant Katharine Metters, said: “These dinners provide an ideal opportunity for us to get together with clients in a relaxed, social atmosphere to talk about the challenges they face relating to ergonomics and the modern day workplace.

“We were surprised by just how wide-ranging the discussions became. It was very free-flowing and it is obvious from the feedback we have subsequently received that everyone enjoyed it.”

Midlands Regional Manager Mark Walker, who hosted the Cambridge dinner with Katharine Metters, agreed. “Our evening was a resounding success. We didn't once have to direct proceedings as everyone engaged in conversation and discussion freely throughout the meal,” he said.
