We need your help to win a Tomorrow's Health and Safety Award for Opløft

We're delighted to announce that our Opløft Sit-Stand Platform has been shortlisted for a Tomorrow's Health and Safety award.

Tomorrow's Health and Safety magazine is published digitally six times a year, providing the UK's health and safety professionals with the most recent news, views and insights into their industry. The awards, now in their fifth successful year, recognise the best products and services the industry has to offer. We're proud to be among 50 shortlisted companies in the running for an award. Now it's up to you to make the tough decision. Who should win?

You have until Friday 15 March to cast your vote, and the winners will be announced in April.

Tomorrow's Health and Safety Awards are all about recognising products that revolutionise workplace health and safety. When you think of dangers in the workplace, you're perhaps more likely to think of heavy machinery than you are a desk set-up - but research shows that physical inactivity is one of the leading risk factors for death worldwide. The traditional office facilitates sedentary behaviour; workers have to sit down at a computer to carry out their jobs. Sit-stand desks, which we started selling in 1994, changed this. They made it possible to continue working while standing up and it's this regular movement between sitting and standing throughout the day that activates the muscles and stops you from slipping into prolonged poor postures. While many employers remain dubious about the cost and potential ROI of sit-stand desks, uptake is slowly increasing as more affordable, flexible options enter the market.

We designed Opløft to cater for this market. Unlike with our DeskRite range of full-size desks, you don't need to get rid of your existing desks or make any big layout moves to introduce Opløft to your office. Compared to other sit-stand desk converters, it's relatively light at 12 kg - not so heavy that it has to be a permanent fixture. At its lowest position, the platform is just over an inch thick and can easily be slid behind a sofa, or into our specially designed Opløft rack.

If you think Opløft could revolutionise offices in the future, then we'd love to have your vote.
