Posturite’s Enablement division is rapidly expanding and helping organisations identify and carry out the reasonable adjustments to the workplace for people with challenges such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and hearing or visual impairments.
Posturite Enablement encompasses a wide range of assessments, enablement training and strategy services that can be used to identify individuals’ specific needs and set clear actions to ensure they receive the correct products, workplace adjustments and ongoing support.
Mark Walker, who heads the division, explained: “For some years now we have been providing assessment services for many clients to augment the ergonomic workstation assessment work we have always done and for which we are so well known.
“Now we have brought these all together into one cohesive service to not only help more individuals but also to support client organisations to ensure they comply with their legal obligations under the Equality Act 2010.
“This requires companies to make reasonable adjustments to the workplace for any individual including those with registered disabilities ”
Different types and combinations of assessment services are available for diagnosis or ongoing support. They include diagnostic dyslexia assessments, workplace needs assessments, colour overlay assessments, visual impairment assessments and hearing impairment assessments.
Relevant training in the use of Assistive Technology (AT) and one-to-one strategy, coaching and mentoring sessions are all designed to offer ongoing support, help prevent workplace absence and increase productivity.
Mark Walker added: “We have hosted a number of seminars on Reasonable Adjustments and Workplace Enablement over the last few years, the feedback from which has helped us to fine tune our services to the needs of our clients.
“As an independent supplier of assistive technology products, we are able to offer clients some of the most competitive prices on the market. Plus, of course, we are the only company able to provide total coverage throughout the UK via our unique 70-strong network of strategically located account managers and client support executives.”
Other services provided by Posturite Enablement include reviews of IT infrastructure, current AT provision policies and procedures, and software licence agreements; training on AT software and post-training support; scripting for AT software; and deployment support of AT.
