Posturite has been spreading the word about the impact ergonomics can have on workplace productivity around the globe.

A recent webinar given by WorkRite lead consultant Katharine Metters attracted an audience of almost 700 people from 10 countries including America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Turkey Israel and the UK. Forty-eight of the 50 US states were represented.

The quality of the participants was as impressive as the quantity with representatives from global giants such as Apple, Boeing, FedEx, GlaxoSmithKline, PepsiCo, Microsoft, Walt Disney and Honeywell joining in.

The webinar was part of the monthly ErgoExpo Webinar Wednesdays series hosted in America by the organizers of the National Ergonomics Conference & Exposition.

Katharine’s presentation was praised by the hosts who said that the vast majority of people had stayed online throughout – a much higher retention rate than usual.

During her presentation, Katharine reviewed the research that has taken place into the links between ergonomics and workplace productivity; outlined the choices available for computer workstation setup and design; and explained the impact that computer peripherals can have on overall productivity and injury reduction.
