Wear it. Beat it - Posturite set to cycle/walk 175 miles for charity

On Friday 9 June 2017, the team at Posturite will be joining thousands of other office workers up and down the country to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Wear it. Beat it - is a campaign designed to get us all dressing up in red to raise awareness about heart disease, which is one of the UK's biggest killers as this BHF graphic demonstrates:

It is possible for us to limit the risk of heart disease and we work with our clients to do just that. Not only with the life-saving automatic defibrillators we supply - which are critical in cardiac arrest recovery - but also with the active working solutions we design and stock.

By working more physical activity into our daily working lives, we are reducing our risk of developing cardiovascular diseases.

It is for this reason that we have chosen to complete a fitness challenge to raise money this year.

Posturite employees will together be walking or cycling the equivalent distance from our HQ in Berwick, Sussex, to our supplier MDK in Leicester. That's 175 miles in a single day!

To see how we get on and to (hopefully) offer us your support, please check our social media pages on Friday - especially @Posturite on Twitter.

While prevention is key when it comes to heart disease, cardiac arrest can affect anyone. It's important to make sure you have the equipment in place to increase the chances of survival should the worst happen. To encourage you to opt in, we're offering 45% off the world-renowned LifePak automatic defibrillator, which is used by 70% of UK ambulances.
