WorkRite fire safety training is hot stuff!

WorkRite’s fire safety training course has been praised by staff at the Lincoln-based construction company, Lindum Group.

The company, named as one of the Top 10 companies in the UK to work for in the prestigious Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For list in 2010, recently put 30 people through WorkRite’s fire warden training.

They included one delegate who had previously undertaken rigorous fire safety training when working offshore on an oil rig. He reported that the WorkRite course compared favourably with his previous training.

Lindum Group health and safety co-ordinator David Bellingham said: “The feedback we have received from employees about the course has been very positive. People were impressed with both the style and content of the training. The man who used to work offshore was particularly complimentary which, considering the level of training he had previously undertaken, reflected especially well on WorkRite’s expertise.”

Experts from Newcastle International Airport’s fire safety academy joined WorkRite’s own staff to run the Lindum Group training which was split into three sessions over one and a half days.

Lindum Group employees were joined on the course by half a dozen representatives from tenant companies on the Lindum-owned estate.

For David Bellingham it was a second experience of WorkRite training. He previously undertook a DSE Assessor course at WorkRite’s head office in East Sussex. He is now talking to the company about other training opportunities.
