What is a DSE Workstation Assessment Level 2?

Get to the root of work-related pain in greater detail with our DSE Workstation Assessment Level 2. This is a 45-minute one-to-one session designed to identify and help eliminate problems related to DSE activities. By ‘problems’, we mean anything that could be aggravating, contributing or even causing an employee to have discomfort whilst working with DSE.

With this assessment we aim to review and improve the workstation set-up to help alleviate musculoskeletal discomfort and, as a result, improve the wellbeing and productivity of your employees.

Level 2 assessments collate more information about the user than Level 1 assessments, including in-depth observations, measurements and photographs. While more data is documented, the recommendations following the assessment will be the same.

Who is the DSE Workstation Assessment Level 2 for?

The DSE Workstation Assessment is for people who are experiencing discomfort or pain at their DSE workstations and need advice and recommendations. Usually this assessment is undertaken following a DSE compliant assessment that has failed to resolve any issues reported.

What happens in a DSE Workstation Assessment Level 2?

The assessment will be carried out by a member of our assessment team. All of our assessors are trained DSE assessors with extensive product knowledge. The assessor will undertake a series of checks and ask questions about the reported problems. Level 2 addresses more specific aspects of workstation set-up and includes measurements and photographs to produce a more detailed picture.

Following the assessment, a report will be submitted which will address the reason for the assessment, highlight any relevant areas of concern, and provide recommendations with justifications.

What happens when I book a DSE Workstation Assessment Level 2?

Once a request has been made to book an appointment, the user will receive a proposed date and time. This can either be accepted or rejected - at the click of a button. If accepted, the user will receive reminders leading up to the appointment, plus real-time tracking on the assessor’s whereabouts on the day. If our suggested time is rejected, the user has the chance to write any notes or suggestions for a more convenient time and date.

Does this assessment make us fully compliant with DSE regulations?

Not fully. Our DSE Workstation Assessments are focused on increasing the musculoskeletal comfort of your users. To be fully compliant with the regulations, you will need to consider all DSE risks, such as lighting and the surrounding environment. Our DSE Compliant Assessment covers all of the risks you must consider to comply with the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992.

Cancellations

Once the appointment time is agreed there is a £95.00 Ex VAT cancellation fee if you request to reschedule or cancel your appointment with less than one working day's notice of the agreed appointment date.

Cancellations must be made in writing and received by the due date.

Unforeseen Circumstances

On rare occasions, unforeseen circumstances may require us to cancel an assessment. In such circumstances you will be given as much notice as possible and provided with new assessment date options.

Refunds

Refunds are provided entirely at the discretion of Posturite. This does not affect your statutory rights.
