Additional Information
What is a Dyslexia Diagnostic Assessment?
A Dyslexia Diagnostic Assessment is an in-depth one-to-one session carried out by a fully qualified and registered psychologist specialising in adult dyslexia.
Dyslexia is covered in the Equality Act 2010. This means that employers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to overcome any barriers faced by the individual as a result of dyslexia. The Dyslexia Diagnostic Assessment forms part of your obligations.
Following the Dyslexia Diagnostic Assessment, a full written report will be issued. It will help you, the employer, identify strengths and weaknesses and provide you with a clear set of recommendations for any adjustments that might need to be made.
Who is a Dyslexia Diagnostic Assessment for?
Anybody who has dyslexia, or thinks they may have dyslexia, and is experiencing challenges in the workplace as a result.
Around one in 10 UK adults have some degree of dyslexia, which means they may experience problems with reading, writing and spelling.
