Vertical Mice

Give your tired wrists a break with a vertical mouse

Eliminate forearm twisting and encourage a more natural, relaxed working hand posture with a vertical mouse. Movement is transferred into the more powerful shoulder muscles to reduce strain on the wrist, helping prevent repetitive strain injury (RSI) and carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS).

Why buy a vertical mouse?

It may seem odd at first for a mouse to be vertical but its actually the most natural position for your hand to be in. When you use a standard mouse your forearm is twisted which places stress on your wrists and can cause strain injuries, a vertical mouse is used in a handshake position, giving you a completely relaxed and neutral posture.

Think about how you hold out your arm when you're about to shake someone's hand, or how about the way your arms fall naturally to your side. Rather than twisting your forearm to abide the requirements of a traditional mouse, a vertical mouse lets your arm rest in a natural pose while you navigate. Movement is transferred onto the more powerful shoulder muscles to reduce strain on the wrist.

Many of our vertical mice come in different styles and designs including joystick, pen style or our very own penguin mouse, designed for ambidextrous users and one of our best selling vertical mice.

Whether you are looking for a preventative or rehabilitative aid, your wrists are just starting to ache or you have been diagnosed with RSI or Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Posturite has the best range of ergonomic vertical mice in the UK for you to choose from that can help. If you are unsure of what mouse would suit you best please contact us and we will be happy to assist you to choose the right mouse for you.

Do vertical mice help RSI?

There are several benefits to using a vertical mouse, including a reduced risk of repetitive strain injury (RSI). By enabling a more natural hand posture, the vertical mouse helps reduce strain on the wrist. There are a variety of styles available, so you can choose a vertical mouse that suits your working style and specific requirements.

Is a vertical mouse better for carpal tunnel?

As well as reducing the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), vertical mice are an excellent choice for people who already struggle with carpal tunnel pain when using a computer. The reason for this is that the design of the mouse helps keep most of the underside of your wrist off the desk, thereby reducing pressure in the area.
