Edinburgh | Thursday 31 May 2018, 10am - 3pm

Dynamic Earth, Biosphere Suite, Holyrood Road, Edinburgh, EH8 8AS

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of agile working at our brand new event, ‘Agile working: promoting health, productivity and flexibility’.

This free, day-long event will take you on a journey through the core principles and challenges of managing an agile workforce.

It will be delivered in four parts:

Part 1 - A day in the life of an agile worker

Speakers: Scott Bottomer & Katharine Metters

Bios: Scott has worked for Posturite for eight years covering the Scotland territory. Previously he has held roles as an assessor, account manager, and now as a key account manager. He currently also leads the agile working team within Posturite and has overseen the development of agile working offerings throughout the company.
Katharine is a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, holds a Masters Degree in Ergonomics and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Safety and Health. This unique combination of qualifications, together with her vast range of experience working within healthcare, food, retail and utility sectors, enables Katharine to offer a very broad based range of training, education and health & safety management in the workplace.

Part 2 - Training a workforce on the move

Speaker: Ryan Church

Bio: Prior to joining Posturite, Ryan spent three years as a personal trainer and a further three in the telecoms industry. This gave him a sound understanding of both the human body and the various technologies that can be found in the marketplace, all of which can be closely related to the products and services provided by Posturite’s WorkRite division. His role now is primarily to ensure our customers understand the features and benefits of our suite of e-learning courses and systems.

Part 3 - Wearable technology for agile workers

Speaker: Ed Butler, DorsaVi

Bio: Ed is a Chartered Physiotherapist with a special interest in the objective analysis of human movement. With expert knowledge of using wearable sensor technology to monitor and track changes to posture throughout the day or during a specific task, Ed will introduce this growing industry and discuss the advantages of using this technology to understand how a workforce sits and moves throughout the day.

Part 4 - Legal considerations around agile working

Speaker: Amanda Deeley, Just Employment Law
