What is the Home Workers DSE Compliant Assessment?

Our Homeworkers DSE Compliant Assessment will let you know whether your DSE workstations meet the legal requirements laid out in The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992.

Even though your home workers are out of sight, you still have a legal obligation to manage any health and safety risks including those relating to DSE work.

We’ll send one of our assessors to your employee’s home to carry out a check of the areas outlined in the DSE regulations, and any other areas agreed with you. The aim is to get your homeworkers workstations to comply with the DSE regulations and look at other areas as agreed with you - not just to tick legislative boxes, but to make sure your employees feel comfortable and are able to be productive while they work from home.

Who is the Home Workers DSE Compliant Assessment for?

This assessment is designed specifically for people who work with DSE from home most of the time. It can include additional questions to cover factors unique to home working and to fit in with your homeworking policies and procedures.

What happens in the Home Workers DSE Compliant Assessment?

Your Home Workers DSE Compliant Assessment will be carried out by a member of our assessment team who will visit your employee’s home at a convenient time. All of our assessors are trained DSE assessors with extensive product knowledge. They know their stuff and they’re always happy to share their expertise with your employees.

The assessor will undertake the assessment at the workstation observing the employees working posture and asking questions relating to how they work and any problems they may have. If any adjustments can be made to improve the set up these will be carried out in consultation with the employee during the assessment. If other areas have been agreed to be covered as part of the home worker assessment then the assessor will review these whilst in discussion with the employee.

Following the assessment, a completed DSE assessment form highlighting any areas of non compliance with the regulations or your policies or other concerns will be submitted to you the employer outlining any recommendations to control any issues identified.

What happens after I book a DSE Compliant Assessment?

After your assessment booking has been placed, a member of our appointments team with be in touch to confirm a suitable assessment date.

Cancellations

Should circumstances mean that you need to cancel your assessment date the following charges will apply dependant on notice given:

  • Cancellation request received more than two working days prior to assessment date:
    • No charge
  • Cancellation request received less than two working days prior to assessment date:
    • 50% of the RRP assessment fee will be charged
  • Cancellation request received on the day of the assessment:
    • 100% of the RRP assessment fee will be charged

Cancellations must be made in writing and received by the due date.

Unforeseen Circumstances

On rare occasions, unforeseen circumstances may require us to cancel an assessment. In such circumstances you will be given as much notice as possible and provided with new assessment date options.

Refunds

Refunds are provided entirely at the discretion of Posturite. This does not affect your statutory rights.
