Overview

Expand your emergency first aid skills by learning how to safely administer oxygen in an emergency situation. Our cells require oxygen to function normally. If something happens to prevent the body from taking in sufficient oxygen, hypoxia can occur. This is when the tissues in the body become starved of oxygen and, if left untreated, can cause significant damage and fatality. Administering oxygen can help reverse the effects of hypoxia.

This short course trains first aiders to recognise when oxygen may be required, and to administer emergency oxygen safely and effectively.
