First aid at work requalification (QA level 3 award)

First aid qualifications must be renewed every three years. Requalify to top up key skills and renew your confidence.

Training during COVID-19

The new look first aid at work requalification course will deliver the exact same high quality educational content you expect from our Posturite trainers but in a slightly different format. For the foreseeable future this training will be delivered as blended learning which involves a third of the course (4 hours) delivered by web and the remaining two thirds (8 hours over 2 days) in the traditional classroom based setting. A blended learning approach can significantly reduce the time spent together in a confined space, and can offer greater flexibility during the current climate.

The online element of this course will be delivered via a virtual classroom in which delegates and trainers will still be able to interact with each other live and participate in learning activities.

The face-to-face or classroom element of the course will be delivered following strict adherence to social distancing, hygiene policies and risk assessments. All assessments associated with this qualification must take place face-to-face in a classroom environment.

If you require any further information at this time please do not hesitate to contact the training team on 0345 345 0010 or [email protected].

Overview

Over time and without regular practice, first aid skills can start to fade. The two-day First Aid at Work Requalification is designed to refresh memories and renew the skills and confidence of people who have previously taken the First Aid at Work qualification. It should be taken before their certificate expires (three years after it was awarded). To make sure they feel comfortable with the shortened course content, we ask that they show evidence of refreshing annually.

We ask that attendees show evidence that they’ve undertaken annual refresher training (even if they didn’t train with us), or AED training. If they can’t, we recommend they take the full three-day First Aid at Work course again. This is simply to make sure attendees always have the most up-to-date information and understanding of essential life support skills.
