In 2016, government-commissioned research revealed that three-quarters of pregnant women and new mothers experienced discrimination at work. One in nine lost their jobs as a result.

With increasing numbers of women choosing to remain in work while pregnant or bringing up children, it’s crucial that employers are fulfilling their duty of care to accommodate them in accordance with the law.

In this webinar, we’ll discuss the health and safety factors you must consider and how best to assess a new or expectant mother.

We will talk about the challenges that can be faced and the legislation and case law that protects new and expectant mothers in the workforce. We will also discuss our online awareness course New and Expectant Mothers and how some clients have customised this to include an assessment.

Ellie Hale

Ellie Hale started at Posturite in 2014 and has quickly established herself as a key member of the WorkRite team.

Prior to joining Posturite, Ellie worked in business development in Sydney, Australia for five years. Her degree is in law which has given her a solid understanding of the legal obligations employers have to their staff with regards to health and safety training to remain compliant. Ellie’s role is to travel to potential clients to demonstrate the WorkRite system and show how it can streamline their processes and procedures.
