Top tips for choosing products for agile workers
Q & A
Q: What is the best all round adaptable chair that you would recommend for hot-desks?
A: We have had a lot of customers opting for the HÅG SoFi Mesh chair. The user feedback has been really good, with satisfaction levels at round 99.5%. The HÅG Futu works on the same mechanism, and is slightly cheaper. Both chairs have a 10 year warranty which is important (IMO) for an agile environment. If you would like to try any of these, or discuss what would work best, then I’d we’d be happy to show you the chair and work out the best solution for you. Please get in touch.
Q: What do you do when you have an employee who is, should we say, larger built that works in varies areas in IT who has their own specific chair at the permanent work desk?
A: If they are not able to fit into a standard chair (usually 120kg or 150kg weight limit) then you would ideally need to keep a chair specifically for the individual. In these cases it would be sensible to have an area where the chair can be stored out of the way, but with easy access as and when needed. See our Bariatric chair ranges.
Q: DSA Disabled Student Allowance tend to be tight - i.e. don't like paying for second monitor - even when justified at times. Is there some research to help back up a recommendation for a second monitor - with laptop?
Bakker Elkhuizen have conducted a study: 'Can you work comfortably with a laptop?' that you may find useful.
