FAQs

Do I need to be an experienced cyclist?

The ride will be approximately 50 miles so we recommend being comfortable with this distance. However, all are very welcome! We will have different groups who would like to cycle at different speeds.

Will there be a minimum sponsorship requirement?

No, there will be an entry fee and you’ll be encouraged but not obligated to gain sponsorship for the Stroke Association. We expect that many cyclists will have their entry fee paid for by their employer to support a great cause.

Is this the first Pedal for Stroke?

No, we’re proud to say this is the third! But it’s bigger and better this year with more cyclists and more money raised. Pedal for Stroke 2024 raised £17,280 of the total £43,000 raised and donated to the Stroke Association by Posturite last year.

What if I’m not sure yet if I can take part?

Just register your interest and you won’t be committing yourself. We look forward to sending you more detailed information in February.

Can I invite a colleague or friend?

Yes of course! All are welcome.

What does the Stroke Association do?

The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families. They provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year, fund vital scientific research, and campaign to secure the best care and support for everyone affected by stroke.
