Q: My gas stem seems a little stiff – is this normal?
Sometimes, over time, the gas stem can become a little stiff when trying to adjust the height. A quick and easy fix for this is using WD-40 or Vaseline. Apply a light layer of grease to the gas stem, then try adjusting the gas stem 3-4 times. The gas stem should now adjust easily.
Q: Can my seat slide forward?
On the right side of the seat there is a small button. While seated, press this adjusting button and lean against the backrest. Then move the seat forward against the gas-spring pressure and release the button when the seat reaches the desired position.
Q: How do I stop the rocking motion of my Grahl Duo Back® Type 11 chair?
On the left side, under the seat, is a handle that you can press upwards while seated. This activates the tilt mechanism. The backrest tension can be infinitely adjusted to your bodyweight via the crank on the right.
Q: We have hot-desking and I want to adjust the backrest height – how do I do this?
To adjust the backrest height on your Grahl Duo Back®, release the lower hand wheel on the back bar, while you are behind the Grahl Duo Back®. Adjust the desired height and fix the position by tightening the hand wheel. To adjust the width of the backrest connectors, turn the top hand wheel. Fix the desired width by turning this hand wheel to the left or to the right.
Q: How do I adjust my armrests?
The height of the armrests can be adjusted by the buttons on the outer side of the armrest upright. The width is adjustable by the eccentric lever beneath the seat. The armrest pads are depth adjustable without pressing a button.
You can achieve additional adjustment of the width by rotating the armrest pads for particularly wide or narrow distance between the armrest pads. Press the button on the inner side while you turn the armrest pads.
